Salted sardines

Salted sardines are easy to make and very practical, since they can be prepared the day before and stored in the refrigerator until serving time. In this way, we can save time when preparing food.

How to make salted sardines:

Clean the sardines and remove the tenderloin fillets clean.

Take a wide bowl and cover the bottom with salt. Then, spread the sardine fillets on top, so that the skin is facing up.

Cover the sardines with another layer of fat salt and place more sardines on top. Repeat the operation until all the sardines are placed, ending with a layer of fat salt.

Let macerate for at least 1 hour.

Wash the sardines with water to remove the salt and dry them well.

Place them in a wide dish with the skin facing up and add olive oil or vinaigrette until covered.

Conservation:

They can be eaten immediately or can be preserved in this way until 20 days in the fridge

Alternatives:

This technique can also be used to prepare salted anchovies or anchovies.
